2021 PELLEGRINI GROUP REPORT ANNUAL
Environment, people, research, development and innovation; economic and social growth; future, well-being, health and safety.
This is how the ‘2021 Pellegrini Group Annual Report’ opens. The cover immediately reports and highlights the combination of values and key factors on which we base our development plans and strategic choices.
This is why the document in which we specified the goals and actions of the 2020-2030 Sustainability Plan, which until last year was known as the Pellegrini Financial Statements, has become a Group ‘Annual Report’, presenting both financial and non-financial (sustainability-related) performance in a single volume. These were subject to Assurance by the independent auditor PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers) for the first time. The Pellegrini Group has thus joined the ranks of upstanding companies which, anticipating regulatory requirements, have obtained Limited Assurance from an independent auditor and on a voluntary basis.
The non-financial part of the Report, which aims to provide a complete picture of our Group and its continuous quest for market competitiveness, was drafted by the Pellegrini Academy. With the support of all the front-line staff and company departments, it drew up the contents as the owner of all CSR initiatives. This was to fulfil the Company’s desire to embark on a path of progressive alignment with the compliance targets set by the European Commission’s new Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), which comes into force on 1 January 2024
